Sycamore Tales
A downloadable game
Created for the GameDev.TV GameJam and my first Unity game made outside of the Udemy course.
The theme was "SPIN" and I wanted to keep it rather simple since it was my first project so fell(ha!) on the idea of a sycamore seed spinning to the ground and from there it evolved into a side scroller.
Use A and D to move horizontally and S to move downwards. The aim is to keep in the air as long as possible as the speed ramps up. Use mushrooms to bounce up higher and avoid the acorns and brambles that get in your way.

I tried to make as much of the assets as I could but unfortunately I'm not a good artist ha so a huge thank you to the following people whose work made this possible:
https://pxhere.com/en/photo/610994 - Tree Silhouette (unused in game but still present in the assets)
pixabay.com - Base image of player sprite
Pearson Scott Foresman by way of WikiCommons for the base acorn shape
Obsidian Dawn (www.obsidiandawn.com) - Tree and Grass brushes used to create the backgrounds
Julia Holdnack (http://www.fontriver.com/foundry/julia_holdnack) - Jury Duty font
Darren Curtis - Untainted Fey - Main Game Music
sagetyrtle - https://freesound.org/people/sagetyrtle/sounds/15421/ - Wind Sounds used on the main menu
